Muay Thai is one of the best martial arts you can learn since you’ll become a solid fighter while enjoying countless other benefits. However, many people are wondering whether it’s worth learning, as they’re unsure if the results are worth the time and hard work. So let’s dive deep into this case.
Muay Thai is worth learning because it’s a solid martial art that teaches effective striking techniques, primarily punching and kicking. It also incorporates elbowing, kneeing, and clinching, but mostly focuses on punching and kicking. Lastly, it provides countless benefits, such as increased confidence and self-esteem.
All in all, it’s one of the best fighting styles you can do and learn if you’re trying to become a solid fighter. It’s also one of the best ones for those wanting to improve their lives and boost their well-being and lifestyle.
There really isn’t a replacement for learning to fight, especially in today’s world, which can be dangerous. That’s why martial arts—in general—are incredibly important and can play a cornerstone role in your life and keep providing you with many benefits.
Is Muay Thai Worth Learning?
The first section of this article will discuss whether learning Muay Thai, aka Thai Boxing, is worth it. While I’ve been practicing it myself, I’ll try to keep myself as unbiased as possible, so you can enjoy a neutral opinion from someone with quite a lot of experience in the field of martial arts.
Muay Thai is worth learning because it’s an effective fighting style that makes aggressive and fierce fighters. It also provides countless other benefits, such as increased confidence, higher self-esteem, lower aggression and violence levels, and most desirable, better physical shape and having six-pack abs.
Indeed, consistently doing Muay Thai will lead to you losing body fat and revealing your marvelous six-pack abs. A better physical shape is one of the most desirable results in today’s world, which you can easily achieve by consistently doing martial arts, specifically Muay Thai!
So what will you learn in Muay Thai? In short, you’ll learn to strike effectively while combining offensive moves and using various defense techniques to ensure your safety and remain undamaged.
Imagine yourself knowing to strike effectively. Wouldn’t you feel safer in hostile environments? Of course you would. Then why not take the time and invest it into learning actual fighting techniques? There isn’t an answer against learning to fight, as it’ll always come in handy when you need it most!
All in all, Thai Boxing is one of the best martial arts out there and you should definitely learn it.
Why Everyone Should Learn Muay Thai
Lately, I’ve stumbled around a few people that suggest that learning to fight isn’t a beneficial trait to have. Therefore, they suggest against learning Muay Thai, which is a claim that’s dear to my heart because I’m a true believer in using martial arts to better your lifestyle.
Learning Muay Thai is one of the best things you can do for yourself if your goal is to either learn to fight, get into a better physical shape, or improve your life as a whole. For instance, training in Muay Thai will boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem, two critical traits to have.
I want to quote a study I believe is critical to this article. First, this research was conducted on young adults with visual impairment with Karate training, so some might argue that it doesn’t apply to the general population or to Muay Thai. However, I still want you to read it, as I think it applies to (1) everyone, and (2) people who do Muay Thai.
Findings suggest that karate practice may improve self-esteem, physical selfperception, and exercise self-efficacy in young adults with VI.
